Thad Mumford 1951-2018

Thad Mumford who helped write and direct almost 50 episodes of MASH had passed away. He had also worked on the Cosby Show, A Different World, Home Improvements and numerous other shows. In Mash he was prominent in the final 3 seasons. He came up with numerous lines and jokes on the spot such as “woo do that voodoo you do so well.” He was a Emmy award winner and a pioneer for African Americans in the writing and producing industry.

I am trying to upload photos of one of the background actors to see if anyone can identify him but the page won't let me...any ideas on what the issue may be?

Wishing Alan Alda all the best.

Today Alan Alda announced he has Parkinson's. I wish him all the best. I think it's great that he isn't letting him get him down and he's living his life to the full.

Old characters meet new characters

I always think this is fun to think about. What if original characters like Henry or Trapper stayed and got to meet the newer characters that came on as the show went on. What would your dream combination of characters be for the show in its later seasons?

Help with a number

I'm a model builder. I just finished watching the season 6 episode, "The Light That Failed," and was wondering what the number on the supply truck that brought all the hot weather gear at the beginning of the episode. I want to recreate the truck on a model kit and I can't clearly make out the number. Can someone help?

Robert Karnes

In the description of him here, his first credited appearance is missing. He also appeared in the episode, "Welcome to Korea" as a colonel in the Officers Club that didn't approve of Radar's fake rank, Corporal Captain.

Which Era do you prefer?

The Frank/Trapper/Blake era or the Charles/B.J/Potter era?

I can't decide who my favorite is... it's either Father Mulcahy, Winchester, or Radar.
Who's your guys' favorite MASH character?

Radar was supposed to be 19, yet he was almost bald.

Loved This Show

This show was the only one I'd watch. I really don't watch TV that much but I'd like to watch the Series over and over again.

Btw I did find out that Colonal Potter got to keep the horse that was in the Episode when he first joined The M*A*S*H Unit but sadly the horse died of old Age.

It's kinda true that Hawkeye Pierce Aka Alan Alda Hated the show because of the War and Greed and killing. But the person that made the show M*A*S*H was so damn greedy and he'd get 500$ PER Episode. So idk how much EACH gets payed each time for whom the Actors that are remaining and still alive.

I came here thanks to a Google search on the two (out of four) actors who were both in the MASH movie and the series with whom I was unfamiliar, and thanks to this site I now know what kind of plane was used in Five O'Clock Charlie, and what kind of guitar Loudon Wainwright III played in his three appearances in the series.

Thanks. I'll be back. And who knows, maybe I'll find a way to drop any M*A*S*H facts I know, but aren't in the current content. Somehow, I seriously doubt it though. Again, Wow.

Help me find a quote

Just found this website.  Thanks in advance.  This may be vague.  Radar is mad at Klinger because Klinger cannot seem to wheel and deal on the phone as good as Radar.  I forget why Radar wasn't doing his usual bartering and it was left up to Klinger (Radar may have been "out sick" or.. maybe it was when we was preparing to leave the 4077th).  Anyway, Radar angrily questions why Klinger cannot seem to work out the deal on the phone, saying something about how it should be an easy deal, requiring only (something like) a couple of comic books and a bag of walnettos.  Gosh, or something like that.  I know Klinger later becomes pretty good at bartering himself, but I don't think the quote is his.  I think it was Radar saying something to the effect of "you should be able to do this, it should only take a couple of comic books and a bag of walnettos", or something like that.  Heck, I could even be combining two episodes and quotes and not remembering correctly.  Not important, but someone gave a bit of praise today at work for doing something, and this mangled quote came to mind.  Any ideas?  Thanks!

Radar's "family"

Anyone know the cast appearing as Radar's family in "Mail Call, Again"?  (Season 4, Episode 14)  Apart from GB appearing as his mother.  Nothing in the episode credits, or IMDB (free or pro versions) that I can find.  Especially curious about "Uncle Bill," in the dark suit.
