Trapper is such a better character. He was emotional support for Hawkeye, and he was considerate about burdening his mentally unstable friend with his own problems. B.J. had no such consideration. He openly complained about stupid things like his wife having to clean out the gutters, which would've gotten on my nerves really fast. He's just not a great character.
