The basketball hoop is the focus of camp recreational activities and comprises a single hoop on a pole, with a play area marked by a ring of stones. It is located more or less in the geographic center of the MASH camp. To the north is the hospital building and shower tent. To the east, the Swamp and to the south, the mess tent and further south, the Helicopter pad.
