Burt Prelutsky (born January 5, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois) is a television screenwriter who wrote eight episodes of M*A*S*H in Seasons 4-7.
Career biography[]
Raised in Los Angeles, Burt has been a professional writer since the age of 19. He has been a humor columnist for the L.A. Times and a movie critic for Los Angeles magazine. Burt has free-lanced for the New York Times, TV Guide, Holiday, Modern Maturity, EMMY and Sports Illustrated.
In television, in addition to several award-winning movies, and his work on M*A*S*H, Burt has written for Dragnet, McMillan & Wife, Newhart, Mary Tyler Moore, Rhoda, Family Ties, Dr. Quinn and Diagnosis: Murder.
For the past decade, Burt has been a regular contributor to the Patriot Post, Big Hollywood, WorldNetDaily, Bernard Goldberg.com, as well as his own website, BurtPrelutsky.com.
Burt also is the author of three books of interviews: “The Secret of Their Success,” “Portraits of Success” and “67 Conservatives You Should Meet Before You Die,” along with three books of humorous political commentary: “Conservatives Are From Mars, Liberals Are From San Francisco,” “Liberals: America’s Termites” and “Barack Obama, You’re Fired!”
Married to Yvonne, and together with their dog Angel, they live in North Hills, CA.
