Carmine Scelza made several appearances in the M*A*S*H television series, playing various corpsman and G.I. roles. He is credited in 3 episodes but has appeared uncredited in at least two others.

Unfortunately very little is known about Carmine Scelza. He has a very short film career and his only entries in IMDB are for his M*A*S*H appearances. In the M*A*S*H episodes, he is usually in the background and even identifying which person in the scene is Carmine is a challenge. The pictures shown of him here must be taken as speculative, and based on a best guess. Scelza died on March 21, 2022, according to the SAG-AFTRA Magazine.[1]

The first credit for Carmine is in "Hawkeye Get Your Gun" (Season 5) where he plays a G.I. There is only one G.I with a short speaking part, in the mess tent serving lunch, so this is probably Carmine. He appears in an uncredited part a few episodes later, in Hepatitis (Season 5). Here he is in Pre-Op. Hawkeye asks him to prep a patient for an operation. Hawkeye calls him by his real name, quite a common practice in the M*A*S*H series especially in the later seasons. In Movie Tonight (Season 5), Carmine makes his second credited appearance, this time as a corpsman. He is likely to be the one who drives an ambulance to the 4077th and then enters the movie/mess tent to announce that wounded have arrived. This is the only corpsman who has a speaking part in the show. Earlier, it was probably him in the background helping to clean up the hospital building with Klinger and the other main cast members.

In Season 6 Images, Carmine has his third and last credit, as a G.I. He has also appeared uncredited in Mail Call Three.
