Cho is a Korean civilian who makes a one-time appearance in the Season 4 episode of the CBS-TV series M*A*S*H titled "Dear Mildred". The part of Cho was played in the episode by Richard Lee-Sung, who also appeared in many other episodes of the series, in different roles. He would play Cho Man Chin in "Bug Out" in Season 5 but this is probably a different character.
About Cho[]
Colonel Potter's anniversary is coming so Margaret and Frank want to get a present for him. They take photos of Potter under the pretext of starting a scrap book and then hand it to Cho, the local village craftsman, asking if he can carve a bust from the photos. Cho demonstrates his carving skills. He shows a piece of wood that looks like a 2-by-4. It used to be round, he says. He gives Frank and Margaret a price of 5 dollars for the work. Margaret wants Frank to haggle, so Frank does, and they settle for a price of 7.50!
The day arrives and Frank delivers the bust to Frank and Margaret who present it to Potter. Potter is impressed and thinks it is a good likeness. But Frank is not satisfied. He tells Cho the bust does not look like the Colonel. It looks like Cho himself. Cho doesn't disagree. "It gives the Colonel a little class," he says.
