Karen Philipp in TV series

1st Lieutenant Maria "Dish" Schneider (aka as Lt. Maggie Dish) was played by Jo Ann Pflug in the film and later by Karen Philipp in the television series. She was a nurse at the 4077th MASH during the Korean War.

About Lieutenant "Dish"

Dish's role in the finished film was limited, as a large portion of her role did not make the final cut. A similar thing happened to the character in the television series. After being prominently featured as Hawkeye's love interest in the pilot, she appeared in only one further episode (#1.11) before leaving the show entirely. However, she continued to be featured in the opening credit montage sequence (wherein the M*A*S*H staff run toward approaching helicopters) for most of the show's run.
