About Mr. Kim[]

Mr. Kim is a tailor from a nearby Korean village. Early in the episode, he has just delivered a newly made dress uniform to Winchester. Winchester is pleased with the suit but instead of paying him the $36 for clothes, he wants Kim to help him take part in a scheme to make even more money from the coming "change day". Winchester plans to offer to buy up old scrip which the Korean villagers have (since they can't come into the camp to change it for the new scrip and the old scrip will become useless after the change). However he intends to only offer 1o cents for every dollar. He will then pocket the 90% profit, 2% will be for Mr. Kim if he agrees to help arrange this with the village. Kim says he can't " make phony baloney" with his people and keeps lowering his price but Winchester is adamant so Kim has no choice but to agree.

Emerging from the Swamp, he meets Hawkeye and B.J. and tells them his troubles. Hawkeye and B.J. are sympathetic and tell Kim they will do something about it. Kim is grateful and tells them that he will make a dress shirt for both of them.

Change day arrives and Kim arranges the exchange between the villagers and Winchester at the village. Winchester then drives thinking he will make huge profits. But he is sadly mistaken, as Hawkeye and B.J. have arranged with a visiting military policeman, Sergeant Maxwell to set up a road block, thus delaying him and making him miss the change day.
