Peg Hunnicutt was the wife of MASH surgeon Captain B.J. Hunnicutt in the M*A*S*H TV series. The part of Peg Hunnicutt was played by Catherine Bergstrom.
Although she does not officially appear until the season 8 episode entitled Dreams, Peg is first mentioned by B.J. in his introductory episode Welcome to Korea while chatting with Hawkeye at the Kimpo officers' club.
About Peg[]
Peg Hunnicutt is a real estate agent in San Francisco, California. She is raising her infant daughter Erin while her husband B.J. is overseas in Korea.
Relationship[]
The Hunnicutts are shown to be incredibly devoted couple in direct contrast to both Henny Blake and Trapper who regularly cheated on their wives without remorse.
Correspondence[]
Despite the being separated by the war Peg and B.J. endeavor to say in touch as much as possible, keeping in contact via letter writing and the occasional phone call.

Klinger informs him that is in fact form Hawkeye's father leading to more confusion. Later in the same episode, after the origin of the call is discovered to be Hawkeye's father mistakenly receiving a premature death certificate, BJ tells Hawkeye he is "Writing to Peggy," about the mix-up to which Hawkeye quips he'll "add an R.I.P.S."
- BJ writes to Peg about the camp in Dear Peggy
- In The More I See You Radar sets up a long distance phone call to Mill Valley connecting to "a ham operator in Alaska, who's got a friend in Seattle... who's gonna radio San Francisco"
Fidelity at a distance[]
