Sherry Steffens (born Sherrill Ann Steffens, now Connor Snyder) made an appearance as Nurse Able in the M*A*S*H episode "The Late Captain Pierce". She also appeared in the 1979 film Jokes My Folks Never Told Me.

Steffens subsequently became a producer for an HBO project in 1980 and adopted her mother's maiden name "Connor" as her first name, becoming Connor Steffens. In 1986 she married John K. Snyder, becoming Connor Snyder. In an interview for the Hannibal Courier Post (remember Hannibal, Missouri?), Connor Snyder recounted her experience as Nurse Able in the episode.[1] She found Jamie Farr "a barrel of laughs". By contrast, Alan Alda was "all business" while Gary Burghoff was "a bit moody".

After her acting career, Connor Snyder founded Kids 4 Broadway which aims to encourage and teach drama skills to children in order to promote their self-confidence and feeling of self-worth.[2][3][4]
