Val Bisoglio (born May 7, 1926 in New York City, New York, Died October 18th 2021 in Los Olivos, California) was a vaunted, revered Italian-American character actor primarily known for his work on television. Bisoglio guest appeared on M*A*S*H Sergeant Salvatore Pernelli in three episodes.
Acting career[]
Val performed in numerous TV series in the 1970s including All in the Family,, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Roll Out, Kojak starring Telly Savalas (beginning with th TV-movie pilot The Marcus-Nelson Murders), Baretta, and The Rockford Files. He is probably best known for his recurring role as restaurateur Danny Tovo in the popular series Quincy, M.E.
He also appeared as Murf Lupo in The Sopranos. Bisoglio is also known for his role as Frank Manero Sr., the volatile father of son Tony Manero (John Travolta) in the blockbuster 1977 film Saturday Night Fever.
